OSHO QUOTES ABOUT MEDITATION
Wisdom
Remember, meditation will bring you more and more wisdom, endless wisdom, and radiant wisdom. Meditation makes you more energetic and sensitive, and your life will become more abundant.
Look at the ascetics: they live almost inhuman lives. These people are not meditators, they may be masochists, torturing themselves, enjoying torture... The mind is very cunning, and it continues to do things and rationalize them.
Usually you are violent to others, but your mind is cunning-it will learn non-violence, it will preach non-violence, and then violent itself. Your atrocities against yourself will be respected by people because they think penance is pious. That's all nonsense. God is not an ascetic: otherwise there would be no flowers, no green shade, only deserts. God is not an ascetic, otherwise there would be no singing or dancing in life-only cemeteries and cemeteries. God is not an ascetic: God enjoys life. God is more enjoyable than you think. If you think of God, you should think of the abundance possessed by hedonists. God continues to pursue more and more happiness, joy, and ecstasy. Remember this.
But the mind is very cunning. It rationalizes the feeling of paralysis into meditation, rationalizes dullness into excellence, and rationalizes dead silence into renunciation. Be careful! Always remember that if you move in the right direction, you will keep blooming.

Live out joy
Life is aimless. Don't be surprised! All ideas about purpose are wrong-it comes from greed.
Life is pure joy, games, fun, laughter, without any purpose. Life is its own end, and there is no other end. When you understand it at this moment, you understand everything about meditation. It is to live your life happily, playfully, completely, without a purpose in the end, no purpose in front of you, no purpose at all. It's just like a child playing on the beach, picking up shells and colorful stones-what's the purpose?
There is no purpose at all.

calm
If you go to the monks of Catholicism, Jainism, and Buddhism, you will find that they are very nervous-maybe not so nervous in their dojo, but if you take them to the outside world, you will find them very Nervous, because every step has temptation.
A meditating person will come to a point where there is no temptation. Try to understand it. Temptation never comes from outside: it is repressed emotions, repressed energy, repressed sex, and repressed greed that creates temptation. The temptation comes from within you and has nothing to do with the outside. It is not a devil to seduce you, it is that your repressed mind becomes a demon and wants revenge. To control that mind, one must remain cold and stiff, so that life energy cannot flow to your limbs or to your body. If the energy is allowed to move, those depressions will surface. That's why people learn how to be cold, how to touch others instead of actually touching, how to look at people instead of seeing.
People live in politeness. Hello, how are you? No one means anything, it's just to avoid a real encounter between the two. People don't look into each other's eyes, they don't shake hands, they don't try to feel each other's energy, they don't allow each other to fall over. They are very scared and don't know what to do, they just mediate...cold and lifeless. Restrained like wearing a tights.
The meditating person has learned how to be full of energy, maximum and optimal energy. He lives on the peak, and builds a dwelling on the peak. Of course, he is warm, but it is not fanatical, but presents life. He is not enthusiastic, he is calm, because he is not dazzled by desire. He is very happy, no need to look for any happiness anymore. He is at ease, he doesn't go anywhere, he doesn't run and chase... He is very calm.

Relax
Meditation is rest, complete rest, stopping all activities-physical, mental, and emotional. You are in a deep state of rest, nothing is disturbing within you, all activities are also stopped-as if you are still awake in deep sleep-you know who you are. Suddenly, the window opened. It cannot be opened by effort, because effort creates tension-----and tension is the cause of all our pain. Therefore, meditation is not hard work, this is the most fundamental understanding.
One has to be very playful with meditation, learn to enjoy it as fun. Don't be too serious, you will miss it if you are serious. Enter with joy. Keeping awareness while entering deeper and deeper rest. It is not concentration, on the contrary, it is relaxation. When you are completely relaxed, for the first time you begin to feel your authenticity. You face to face with your being. When you are occupied with various activities, you cannot see yourself. These activities have created a lot of smoke around you and raised a lot of dust around you. Therefore, all activities must be put down, at least a few hours a day.
This is only necessary at the beginning. When you start to learn the art of rest, you can move and rest at the same time, and then you will know that rest is such an internal thing that you cannot be disturbed by any external things. Activities around you continue, and in the center you maintain a state of rest. So only at the beginning, the activity must be put down for a few hours. When one learns this kind of art, there is no problem: one can meditate 24 hours a day and still continue all the activities of daily life.
But remember, the point is rest and relaxation. Don't do the opposite of rest and relaxation. Arrange your life in this way and put aside all futile activities, because 90% are useless, just to kill time and keep occupied. Do only what is necessary and give more and more of your energy to the inner journey. Then a miracle will happen when you can maintain rest and activity at the same time. This is the meeting of the sacred and the secular, the meeting of this world and that world, the meeting of material and spirituality.
