Humming meditation

Humming is Powerful Yogic meditation practice, it can bring immediate result of peace, tranquility and stillness within you. We live in a busy world, where we are influenced by continuous chain of negative thought, make us agitated and restless. This meditation design to slow down our restless mind, slowing down breathing rate by humming, result will be tremendously powerful and effective. It tremendously reduce number of thoughts. We experience silence gap, and deep peace in between thoughts. Our mind become silent, body become relaxed our soul is rejuvenated by the resonance of humming. This is powerful meditation for balance our brain, enhance memory, deep and harmonious sleep. This meditation is good for all age group, particularly high blood pressure, low blood pressure, heart patient, for people suffering from insomnia. It is can be done any time of the day. Especially beneficial to do it before sleep, which brings continuous deep peace and tranquility during the whole 7-8 hours of sleep at night.
There are 3 stages of humming
Stage one 20 min
Sit comfortably on cushion or chair where you would not be disturbed for one hour. Your spine is erect with 90 degree cone to the earth. With close eyes , take a deep breath, when you breathe out produce the sound of mmm , with lips together. Humming should be loud enough to create vibration in whole the body. Breathing should be deep and slow. While humming, sound should be loud enough that you can hear your own voice. Feel that you are like a bamboo flute, allowing the sound to happen through it. During the humming process if body like to move allow it move smoothly and slowly. Pitch of humming sound may vary allow it change. Continue humming practice till you hear the gong. Background music resonance will support you to go deeper in to the practice.
Stage 2, 20 min
Sit silently and witness. After the humming, it is very easy to sit silently and watch silent gap between the thoughts. Witness natural flow of breathing, aware of the sound around and surround you. Just simply by watching our body, body sensation , feelings without attaching to it, without labeling to it , good or bad , like it don’t like it. Just become conscious of our body mind and being. You may hear sound of your own breathing, sound of air passing the leafs , sound of birds etc allow it happen, without judging or labeling it. Or you may hear some special sound which you never heard, certain fragrance which you never smell , and feel some special sensation allow totally and naturally to happen. Just being silently witness all the process without judgment.
Stage 3, 20 min
After the sound of bell, lie down flat on the floor, spread your arms and legs. Let all your body weight give to mother Earth. Allow the mother earth further assist you to relax your body, cool down your mind, and rejuvenate your soul. If you do this meditation in night, keep on sleeping for deep and dreamless sleep.
