WHAT IS MEDITATION?
The Chinese word "meditation" is translated from English "Meditation", but its original origin is Sanskrit's "Dhyana". It is not concentration, not contemplation, nor meditation. These are the functions of the mind and the mind, while meditation is beyond the mind and mind. Meditation means observing and disapproving. There is neither a subject nor an object, no need to concentrate, and no need to think. Just sit quietly and watch everything happen. Thoughts may come and go but the observer or a meditator realize that he or she totally detached of the thoughts.
