WHAT IS MEDITATION? |
The Chinese word "meditation" is translated from English "Meditation", but its original origin is Sanskrit's "Dhyana". It is not concentration, not contemplation, nor meditation. These are the functions of the mind and the mind, while meditation is beyond the mind and mind. Meditation means observing and disapproving. There is neither a subject nor an object, no need to concentrate, and no need to think. Just sit quietly and watch everything happen. In this way, you go beyond all the concepts and ideas in your mind and enter the realm of existence. The first step: just watching The most basic core, the soul of meditation is to learn how to observe - no criticism, no likes and dislikes, just simply looking at what happened. There is no way for meditation to be "made" - you can't do it, you can't practice it, you can only understand it. Meditation is not a kind of behavior. On the contrary, it is inaction. It is here and there. It exists purely, lives in its own center, relaxes completely, does nothing - no action, no thought, no emotion, It just exists. This is a total joy, it is everywhere, it does not need reason, because the whole universe is composed of joy. Step 2: Meditation in life Meditation is not to escape life, but a new way of life. As you become more familiar with awareness and observation, and more and more know how to maintain your own nature from foreign objects, you can begin to learn the second part of meditation. First learn how to stay in your own center; then, learn how to act. You can start doing some simple daily chores while keeping your eyes on it. Let the external action continue, and the inner peace is not disturbed. Gradually, you can do more complicated things, and the inner space is still calm. As a result, you become the center of the typhoon - there are many things happening outside, and the inside is completely quiet. From the outside, it seems that your ordinary life may have more tranquility and graceful atmosphere; while you are like a viewer on the top of the mountain, sitting quietly, watching all the things happening around you. Modern people's meditation skills In essence, meditation is a state of inaction and relaxation. But before we really appreciate the inaction of inaction, there are a lot of tricks that can help. Because modern lifestyles and environments are quite different from those of the past, Osho has designed many new meditation techniques for us. The biggest difference between these meditation techniques and traditional methods is that they mostly include the stage of activity. People must remove the tension and pressure accumulated in the body and mind system through dance, running, breathing, venting, etc., and then enter. The stage of tranquility and observation. Regular and regular meditation helps maintain vitality, renew energy, relieve stress, relax, stabilize emotions, and of course, the best way to practice awareness. Some meditation techniques include high-intensity body movements such as running or jumping; some meditation techniques use the vibration frequency of music and sound; and some meditation techniques are pure observations. In general, different types of people tend to like different meditations. You can choose a certain kind of meditation, continue to do a period of time, and then decide whether it is right for you. For most people, whether you like it or not, a high-intensity venting meditation is very helpful. Note 1: Any Osho meditation must be carried out in full accordance with the original instructions without any changes. Note 2: Meditation helps to maintain balance between body and mind, but it cannot replace medical care. You must still seek medical attention if you have physical or psychological illnesses and symptoms. If in doubt, ask the Center of Meditation. |
